Guys, I have the answer to every complaint regarding The Walking Dead tv show:  ignore it and read the comic instead.  The writing is better in every possible way.  Above all, the character cast is far less stupid/annoying.  The only reason Daryl is a fan-favorite on the show, is because he's the only character in the tv show cast that doesn't look like a total fucktard when compared to the comic book cast.

The show writers need to understand that there's plenty of ways to make a post-apocalypse story interesting without having every single character in a constant state of mental breakdown and every plot arc driven by hostile infighting caused by someone's random bout of bullheaded stupidity.
