Be warned, it's some trouble to get it running. I ended up having to use a WinXP virtual machine, and there's no way to buy serial numbers anymore (though it's abandonware, so don't feel bad about acquiring one). Tons of fun so far though, it's really a beautiful game. Certainly far deeper than pretty much any modern 4X, and it doesn't have most of the really obnoxious problems that crop up in Aurora. There's even a small multiplayer community lingering on out there.

First tornado watch of the season! It'll probably not come to anything, since it's just a blanket warning issued for most of the central part of the state (Oklahoma) and the main storm system is a hundred miles or so to the southeast and moving northeast pretty quickly. There sure are some pretty clouds on the horizon, though.

Update: wee, hailstorm! We needed the rain, though.

The reunion might have been touching, but instead of the father running over and embracing the daughter, an unrelated drunk at the other side of the room shouted the daughter's name and then ran over and hugged me while the father and daughter stood in place crying tears of joy.

That on its own isn't so great, but then it got me thinking. Of an alternate world where Toady never fixed these kinds of bugs. Any unusual interactions would just be left it.

I was feeling pretty down so I thought I'd try something diffrent. Since I'd been playing dark souls again. I started a new character, starting class of cleric. I thought I'd try and speedrun to the first bell.

Sequence broke to the taurus demon through the valley of dragons shortcut, after grabing the astora sword and shield of course, killed the taurus demon, dashed across the bridge, up the two flights of stairs and rolled down after the hollow soldier trying to shut the gate, stabbed him in the back and re-opened it. Parried and murdered the hell out of the 3 Balder knights standing in the parish lobby, made the Bernekie knight look like a failing around idiot, gave myself a courtesy checkpoint at the blacksmith bonfire and then finally ran up, killed the channeler and his cronies. THEN killed both gargoyles.

50 minutes. Not bad I think. I also ended up doing it without my pants. I was faster without my pants. Now I just wonder how I should handle this character going on, faith/dex build? Go int and use velkas talisman to do miracles AND sorcery? I have no idea!
