It was a puppeteer by the name of Timothy M. Rose, according to wikipedia. Personally, when your only real role is to play a fairly unimportant character to the movie and you become this well known it seems like a good deal to me.

Potential happy: Found a nice looking couch over by the dumpster. It has all its cushions and looks to be in decent shape. I'm worried it might be infested, though. Should I take it? I'm thinking it's be a lot more comfortable to sleep on than the floor.

Only if sleeping on the floor is worse than the distinct possibility of a bedbug infestation. If it's in good condition and in the trash, chances are that's the problem.

You people are so persnickety with your free furniture. A lot of the furniture in my house (hell the chair I'm sitting on right now) was sitting on the sidewalk, waiting for a garbage truck, when it was recovered.

Check your local laws though. Here, the law boils down to "If you can pick it up without using a car, it's yours". Might be illegal elsewhere.

Could be, but bedbugs are a sufficiently horrible thing that the risk probably isn't worth it.

Dumpster diving can be pretty awesome, but in general: if it's got cushions, second-guess yourself.
