Had a bit of a depression spiral occur for the past couple weeks, along with a bit of a lack of appetite and such tagging along with it. Just realized that one of my standby meals that I usually make when there's not really that much to choose from to eat turns out to work like a remedy.
Basically, all it really is is a few sprinkles from the spice rack of whatever I can see on it (usually 8-10 different spices and herbs, along with a generous heaping of garlic and onion powders) tossed into a can of vegetable soup, and maybe a small heaping of coconut and olive oil, and a good blotting of soy sauce and a 1-second squeeze of sriracha sauce and a tablespoon of cayenne pepper mixed in, and boiled to a decent concentrate.
I felt depressed and lethargic, and lacking appetite before eating it, and after eating it, it's like my system got a full reboot, and is running far better than usual. Even my stomach feels much better; meaning whatever stomach virus or bug was in my system just got fried into non-existence, and just got my appetite back (felt like my stomach was 1/4 it's size before), and a natural mood swing back into the good again, with a boost of energy as a bonus, despite it being depressingly gloomy out (low pressure system passing through; could have also contributed).
I like it when stuff like that happens; or I unintentionally make a remedy for a relevant problem out of the blue. In this case, a spicy and tasty, while somewhat filling, remedy while at it.
EDIT:
Come and think of it, the beginning of Starcon 2 kinda came to mind, when replacing the cores for the Starbase; as I was feeling better almost instantly as I was eating it.
