Why would I even want to be immortal?

There are about 16,000,000,000,000 reasons I can think of at the moment.

And yet you would miss out on the greatest mystery of all time.

I'd be fine with immortality...as long as it came with a regenerating body and infinite memory capacity in my brain. Even without those I would still like a few eons or so to explore the universe and watch humanity rise (I hope) into space.

I didn't really mean either, although I suppose 'dystopianism' is a factor.
The main problem is simply humans in general becoming too populous. All that immortality would really get you would be a fine view of humanity, barring any major setbacks, destroying earth completely in its mad rush for more money, power and scientific advancement, and then spreading out through the stars like some sort of horrible intergalactic supervirus.

Test score increases have been continuous and approximately linear from the earliest years of testing to the present. For the Raven's Progressive Matrices test, subjects born over a 100-year period were compared in Des Moines, Iowa, and separately in Dumfries, Scotland. Improvements were remarkably consistent across the whole period, in both countries.

No, as in stupid people have more kids, due to the fact that they see having kids as a good/important thing.
That said, I don't really see test scores as a great way of measuring intelligence, but that's besides the point.
