Don't be ridiculous, you haven't "shown irreverence" or whatever, I was feining offence for comic effect (And it's not a grouse either famkut!). But really when you ridicule those guys for stopping to film it as if it was just a random animal when  it's you who don't even know the reason for why showing a capercaille during play might make a good feelgood segment for a local news show (which I'm going to assume was what they were trying to do and who they were due to the amateurishness of the reporter)... You're just showcasing your self-centric world view, there. If it was just a random iguana or deer or bear then they obviously wouldn't have stopped, so it doesn't take much deduction to assume it actually means something. At least not if your willing to give people some basic benefit of the doubt.
