Bay12, I've decided to get back into 4x games and buy myself one of the SOTS games. Question is, which one, 1 or 2? Or should I get both? They're in a deal on steam in that way.
... you should get 1. From what I understand muddling through the LPs, 2 is still somewhat of a buggy mess, with emphasis being able to be put of either buggy or mess. 1's pretty solid, though.

So does everyone remember Rhythm Doctor?
They made a level for Kanye West's Power. It's not as fun as some of their originals, but they did make an original Kanye West sprite.

http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34944147/RDPowah/index.html - check it.

EDIT: And the main game has a boss fight now. It's bloody brilliant.

http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34944147/RhythmDoctorIGF/index.html - It's the third level. Holy shit is it a good boss level.

yay, the forums are  back.

I was expecting the new DF release or something. Mildly disappointed. Then again it's not like I have a lack of things I need to do this weekend anyway.

Ah. I remember the big DF2010 release that crashed the site. Those were the days. Also, I feel old now.

That was on release IIRC. I'm just gonna get both, it's only 25 bucks for the both of them with all the expansion packs and stuff.

Is that related to Guacamole?

Is it like paintball, except instead of paint you got pellets filled with avocado sauce and instead of shooting eachother you just whack one another until you look like you've just had a day's worth of killing aliens?

It's Mexican platformer beat-em-up Legend of Zelda with a co-op mode and Day-Of the Dead aesthetics.

It's not quite as Nintendo Hard as the worst parts of Ocarina of Time, but I'm in the first temple and I already had a few puzzles that I had to work pretty hard to move past, and made me really grin at myself when I'd finished them.  And they're actually puzzles, not just Oh Noooo It's Moving Too Faaaaaast And These Controls Really Suck.

My one complaint is that the controls are a little sticky on a keyboard (don't use space to jump, use S--it actually matters) and the narrative feels a bit loose at times, but this is the most fun I've had in a game for a long time.

And I actually played Orion Dino Horde over the free weekend.
