If you have the $1000-20000 to splash out on armour yes, it's awesome. Also if you don't mind having a 50% chance of breaking your nose, or being beaten senseless by a 195cm, 115kg Russian with a warhammer and a grudge. EDIT: In case it's not clear, the second part is 80% a joke.

But I can certainly see the appeal if you're not a twig like me, and have the commitment/money to spend on the kit. You do have to be fairly serious to get into BotN, though. If you look at the roster for the American team, the 5'8" guys look really out of place among the 6'5"s and 6'6"s. I think the general Armoured Combat League is more accessible, and only marginally less awesome.

Honestly, if either one were an issue, I'd rather the human race end by global cooling than global warming. If we all freeze, then we'll be preserved to be studied by whichever race inherits the earth.
