Well, I'm pretty sure the mayo you get with your fries here isn't quite the same as the mayo you you put on your sammiches so maybe you'll change your mind once you get here and taste some yourself ;)

And hey, at least we don't do the disgusting stuff with fries Canada does >.>

Here in AMERICA fries usually go with tomato ketchup. There are other things people use, but I never heard of mayo and fries in my life O_o

Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”

Ketchup is pretty common here too, although usually a more spicy variant is used, which for some reason is called curry.

Best is of course spicy ketchup + mayo + raw onions

... while not plain mayo, I have seen people eat fries with a ketchup/mayo mixture.

It... it looks like vomit, yes.

I usually default to BBQ sauce, m'self (for basically everything involving condiments, not just fries). Ketchup is fine, too. And sweet and sour sauce. And soy, teriyaki, or steak sauces. Probably other stuff, too. I've dipped them in eggdrop soup before, I think. Also good.

Best fries are untainted by condiments. If they are thus inedible, then they are unworthy to be called fries. Nay, then they must be called potato-sourced garbage.

Do you consider seasoned fries (like the curly ones at some restaurants) to be "untainted"? Because if you consider those to be tainted, yer missing out on something amazing dude.

I shall second this. Curly fries are also acceptable however.

I say thee nay! The best fries are the ones that stand above other fries without condiments, and yet are such they can naught but improve other flavors brought into conjunction with them. Resplendent Catalyst Fries.

They probably count as sidereals, I'unno.

the best fries are seasoned with salt

maybe if you used some salt you wouldn't have to drown it in thousand of different condiments

on top of salt, i sometimes use horseradish mustard, but that's a rare occurrence
