Seriously, is there even a thread this long on the entire internet? I'm pretty sure it is quicker to write a thesis than to read the happy thread. It is a thread to end all threads!

Fun fact: the composer of most of the Metroid series (Super Metroid and on, including Prime, not including Other M) is named Kenji Yamamoto, no relation to the other video game composer named Kenji Yamamoto who composed for Dragon Ball Z games and later Dragon Ball Kai who infamously plagiarized a ridiculous amount of music.

So I'd really like them to make 'Other M' be the 'Tokyo Drift' of games and just get skipped over by people who ever talk about the series.
But that means they'd have to make more games, and go backwards, not forwards. Checkmate game designers.

Unless they're talking about the current triviality.

However, thankfully it was a flop, and I can only hope they've learned from that.

I really hope we get a new Metroid game with a different studio/director behind it. Other M is what happens when you give a great female protagonist to the people who made Dead or Alive: Beach Volleyball.
