I grew up in Texas, birthplace of Dr. Pepper. Every single restaurant, whether it carries Pepsi or Coke products, WILL carry Dr. Pepper. And every carbonated beverage is called a "coke" not a "pop" or "soda" or whatever else the rest of 'Murica comes up with.

Dr. Pepper is win, just like Coke. Pepsi is a lie, and should not exist.

EDIT: I should mention, I have 3 2-liter bottles of Dr. Pepper sitting in my house, and it goes quite well with Captain Morgan.

So, Doctor Morgan? Or is it Captain Pepper? I guess he got promoted from an NCO.

I think Dr Pepper is the most polarizing soda, and those who drink it are far more rabid about it than any other soda drinker is about their preferred soda.

I can't stand the stuff.  It's so fizzy that I can feel the fizz coming back up my throat after taking a drink.

Huh. Dr. Pepper is pretty divisive, isn't it?

Guess that's not very surprising considering it's about a half step from carbonated plum juice. Gotta' get that digestive system runnin', I suppose~

... but yeah, fun one. 1/4th Coke, 1/4th Pepsi, 1/4th Dr. Pepper, 1/4th Blueberry Minute Maid (which, insofar as I've been able to tell, may no longer exist. Equivalent blueberry drinks work alright), iirc. Either that or 1/4th Dr. P, 1/4th Pepsi, 1/2 BB Minute Maid. Somewhere in that area, it's been so long since I've found decent blueberry sodas I've forgotten the exact composition.

If done properly, though, it turns roughly the color of algae choked swamp water and tastes better than anything carbonated I have ever partaken of. And I've partaken of a lot over the years.

It is interesting to note that the guy who invented Dr. Pepper flavored it like that because he liked the smell of all the different flavors of syrup they put in cough medicine at the drug store where he worked and wanted to make a soda that tasted like that. So, there are so many different flavors that everyone probably tastes it a bit differently.

It and mountain dew are literally the only sodas I really care enough about to ask for by a non generic name. Well and sun drop, which is like mountain dew but with actual citrus.

So of course I'm gonna change the topic title. It's happy. Objectively. You other people are just wrong and don't know it yet.
