I found some weird underground ruin made of slade in Dwarf Fortress.

There isn't anything but some camel zombies on the levels I can see, but I dug a staircase touching the outside and it seems to go down quite a ways. Time to search!

If you see a giant zombie sponge, seal the underground house and never return, because giant sponge is so evil, even a noble doesn't deserve the punishment sponge bob brings.

What does a zombie sponge do, inspire lethal fits of laughter?

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

IIRC, sponges and their giant equivalents are unkillable. I assume zombie sponges are the same way.

Are you familiar with the Circus?
Yeah... I lost a fortress to it once. Adamantine cravings will do that to ya...

But of course.

I will definitely keep that in mind.

That sounds really cool, but I don't have magma.

Even if I did, I still don't know how to use pumps. I doubt I'd need it anyway since zombies have never given me any huge problems before (at least when there's only this many)

If I remember correctly those thigns have some good loot in them.  Just keep a small guard there to kill any zombies, and loot away.   It might be good to move the dead zombies into a pit or somethign so they stop being a bother too.

Ah, right.

Biology lied to me.

Still, it's a similar principal to eczema, IIRC. Since that's caused by the immune system attacking the living cells in your skin.

Not eczema. Psoriasis. Trust me on that, I would know.

I'm pretty sure eczema is autoimmune also.  I have problems with eczema, and my older kid has been Type 1 for 5 years.  Probably not unrelated things, genetically.

Reading stuff about the Occulous Rift. And I just keep thinking "Oh god, this is coming out THIS YEAR". And since everything I've seen about it, and everyone that's tried it keeps going "Yeah, this thing is amazing", even non-gamers, I fully expect that it will be huge.
At the moment I have little doubt that the effect it will have on the game and enertainment industry as a whole will be massive.

Yeah, it's almost unreal when I read about that thing.  Like it's somehow out of place.  Every time I look at it, I think about how I need to be ready to buy one when it comes out... but somehow I just can't digest how soon that will be.
