YES http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politics/Satanists_unveil_proposed_statue_for_state_capitol.html
Quote
The group, which calls itself "The Satanic Temple," today unveiled its proposal for a monument it intends to erect next to another religious statue: a depiction of the Ten Commandments.

Oklahoma state legislators in 2009 approved the installation of a privately-funded Ten Commandments  monument. It was installed last year over the protests of the local chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. The Satanic Temple wasn’t the only group to apply for a monument; People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the satirical Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and a Hindu group have also requested a place near the Capitol steps.

"Either way you cut it, this is a First Amendment issue," Greaves said. "Once they open that door, they can't discriminate."

Finally home after getting stuck at work due to this winter storm.

At least I work in the restaurant of a hotel, and the management puts us up in a room, free of charge for the night if we stay due to weather conditions.

I'm willing to bet that I do, too. Weird how they aren't mentioned by name.

I wouldn't mind some more 'mainstream' representation for Satanists. Seems like most people don't get what they actually... are (maybe myself included).

AFAIK it's basically capitalism as a religion.

I'd almost be willing to bet that it's the Hare Krishna. Although, in Oklahoma, you never really know.

Heh, I like this blog entry about how Roguelikes should be called "Procedural Death Labyrinths", or PDL's.

The chart is is fun too.

I take exception to the Complexity column. Compared to FTL, Spelunky and Desktop Dungeons have low complexity.

Also the "Death/Permadeath" column is useless. You could argue that almost all games feature death, and most feature death as a loss condition.

In general though, I agree with calling the whole group PDL and the subset that use the Rogue interface as Roguelike. I think a lot of people just say "Roguelike" when they mean "procedural and capricious".

I don't really see much point in it. Roguelike is the name of the genre, and most people know what that entails. Those who don't - well, a quick google search can solve that.

I think it's some people complaining about the stretching of the genre. People calling things X while you're like "No way that is an X!". Happens in every subculture. Metal (the music genre subculture) is very guilty of subgenrenazism, as well.
