I shudder to think of what will happen to society when gene therapy to induce heterochromia becomes cheap enough for casual purchace. It's a dominant trait too, so it'll be the standard for at least one generation.

I'm about transhumanism, not body modding. The latter community just happens to be a great help for the former right now.

This is the real reason, though it's more about annoying snowflakes than weeaboos. There's nothing wrong with preferring heterochromia, so long as you are actually preferring hetrochromia and not just trying to look unique. Which you won't, since by this aforementioned point anybody who desires it will have it.

Also, when I say that it'll be "standard for at least one generation", I'm probably talking about the late Zs or their children. This is going to be an....interesting century.

The only source (and by only I mean "only source on the first page of a Google search") I can find is the Daily Mail. And I'm not finding any boxing champions by that name except pages that link the Daily Mail article in question. So.......

I think just about the only body modification I'd wanna get at this point is that vision correcting surgery, but if I could have my genes altered, I'd look into maybe fixing the poor eyesight I've gotten. Not for me mind you, genes don't work that way, but for any decedents I'd have. Being able to look at things less than a foot away is generally nice.
Also, it's the Daily Mail. Same author and everything.

I mean, come ON. Genetic modification? Hells naw, just buy cosmetic wearable tech. Seriously, that's like saying you should change your look by getting genetic modification to change the skin color on your torso and legs instead of just changing the color of your shirt and pants. Or that instead of wearing lipstick, you should just get genetic modification to change the color of your lips.
