This Ezekiel bread stuff isn't half bad, at least the cinnamon-raisin variety. Probably too expensive to buy regularly, and too time-consuming to make myself, but a good experiment. Especially with crunchy peanut butter.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

2. Night In The Woods Kickstarter, it's been a while since I've seen a game that I've looked at and said, "I'd really like to play this when it comes out", and this is one of them.
Wow. For the first time in a long while, an artsy-looking indie game that has actually managed to pique my interest. I'll be watching this one...
I know right? I mean I like the art-style, the themes, the characters. It has a very well qualified animator/programmer combo, and the fact that Alec did one of my most favourite things ever with Aquaria's music is of course a big plus.

If nothing else, it's a game that has sold itself to me well, which speaks well of what the quality of the game.

Went to see Elysium. It was alright, though as with all sci-fi I am unable to give it a pass on the outright impossible elements.

I finished Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. That was a really weird book, but really interesting too.

DMed my first ever RL game (3.5 D&D). It went brilliantly.

I got a comfy looking office chair to replace the crappy one I've been using, which has quite literally been falling apart due to various joints apparently never having been glued like they were supposed to.

A couple things. Found a gorgeous A Capella version of A Cruel Angel's Thesis.

Also, Lesbians are suing Idaho about the unconstitutionality of the gay marriage ban. It could really help the movement since it's likely they'll appeal as high as they can, and how the supreme court have ruled upon it.

This thing! To wit, it seems to be a complete electronic edition of Robert Jamieson, A. R. Fausset, and David Brown's "Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible" from back in the late 1800s.

I haven't read any of it. I'm not sure I will. But it exists, I've just downloaded the offline archive, and I'm sharing it, because it seems neat. Neat makes my day more bright.
