It's interesting how buying some clothes can suddenly make me feel confident in myself. I normally don't really care about fashion, and I feel kinda guilty for actually spending money on just clothes. (that's such a silly thing to do, like, who buys clothes y'know? you don't see people doing that. guys don't do that. totes silly.)

However, I actually found some pretty cool stuff. It's all comfortable, it's a change from my usual combo of just blue jeans and t-shirt, and I found a cool hat (this except black with metal studs, so metal) and an awesome jacket. I feel like some kind of rock dude wearing the two. Also got some sweet t-shirts. I never thought I'd see Grumpy Cat in a Wal-Mart. That was definitely going in the cart.

So, got my yearly necessary clothes shopping out of the way, and am satisfied with the result. I seriously feel like a rockstar with the kinds of outfits I can pull off --basically jeans or cargo pants with a band shirt or snarky shirt and that awesome hat-- and it's all so dang comfortable because of that sweet jacket. Self-confidence and motivation, ho!

tl;dr: I feel pretty awesome right now for once.

Managed to complete the project that accidentally got deleted yesterday. Now I wait and hope that my partners think it looks okay. I tried to make it look as much like the version we did before as possible, so I don't see there being any major problems with it.

If anything, this new version is even more detailed than before.

Thrift shops flesh out your wardrobe like nothing else. Even if the idea of wearing someone else's pants or shirts put you off, you can get some great shoes for very little, and don't even get me started on coats. Coats. Leather. Trench. I've this slightly worn out leather coat I wear around all the time because it's wicked comfortable, only a tad large on me, and it'll survive just about anything. It's made with glove leather, too (it would've been a good several hundred dollars new, but the designer doesn't stock them any more anyways), and while it's missing the inner lining, a thin sweater on the inside makes it as good a winter coat as any.

Then, y'know, you get really lucky and you find a London Fog trenchcoat in nearly perfect condition for a modest three bucks.

'Course, nothing fits me just right, being a fairly small individual, and it goes even less well when buying secondhand, but there's seriously so much cool stuff that your wallet won't even cough at out there.

Yay for coats! I don't have any leather ones - I tried to buy one, but it wasn't good enough and then it got sold to someone else. I have two black wool ones, one is thinner and as such is more versatile, and most of the time I can use it since October until April, and another one which is quite heavy and would keep me warm at -20*C.

Protip: Have a Warhead, then follow immediately with straight hot sauce. Repeat until your tongue bleeds.

I had these lollies in 2000 called "High Sours" and I've never been able to find them since. They were very similar to Warheads, but were quite a bit more syrupy since it got all over the inside of the wrapper.
