They don't pray to "Sirius" at all :/
Sorry, wrong god. Don't know why I thought that truckers would pray to some dog god. Hooker gods, Obama, dog gods, they all get confusing after a while.
Today in French 3 we started covering french culture/history, and because our teacher likes history a lot we're doing french involvement in WW2. Along with that we're starting a game of Vichy vs Resistance. Which will last all quarter, and means I get finally use the encoding/decoding program I made in Computer Science.
Also, during computer science we were given a program that involved a set of actors on a grid and told to do stuff. I made a bug that will slowly increase/decrease the chance of a certain event happening. This gives me a strange feeling of accomplishment.
Aah, those were the days. My CompSci teacher hated me because I knew more programming than she did, and ended up spending most of my time in class helping others. So when I taught unary operators as a way to solve a lab, she ended up marking everyone that used them wrong because she didn't know they were a thing.
Catching up on reading this thread, I remember that this is more or less exactly what happened to me in my CompTech class. (My state requires a minimum level of computer education, and that was it.) We learned typing and whatnot, and he was always really annoyed that I refused to type the way the learning program told me to. The most complicated thing we did that year was to learn how to use Micosoft Excel, which I learned how to use when I was 5. Literally. Eventually he gave up and let me do whatever the hell I wanted.
