So I've been reading multple long-winded psychology blogs because the subject is very interesting - these are students or likely just other armchair psychologists. Anyway, one of the subjects they like to talk about is "masculinity" versus "femininity" and what that REALLY means and what people WANT you to believe and why that's not true. Then I realized all these people on blogs had their own definitions of those words, and suddenly realized that it doesn't fucking matter. Do what you need, and once that's done, do what you want, regardless of gender, or whatever. Like, what I need to do right now is accounting homework, but what I want to do after that is video games with friends. That is what I actually want. I don't want AXE BODY SPRAY or a girlfriend (right now) or a new car or even a car that looks marginally better because fuck you, my car is awesome and I would buy it again if it blew up or something. All these other things are just things other people want me to want, and we buy into that cause we think we need to want something to subsist as human beings but actually the only thing that does for us is pile up more cologne, bath salts and other bullshit that, in retrospect, we didn't actually want, so time to want something else 'cause maybe this time it'll REALLY make us happy!

I've worked hard for an awesome life and got it. Life is awesome. If you find yourself wanting something, ask yourself if you're just wanting to want something. Time to balance imaginary checkbooks.

I learned how to alter the transparency of different windows today. Now I can do mindless grinding while I watch a television show on Netflix at the same time without having them be tiny as heck. Whee.
