"This is the last of it."

Uttered by a dude in one of the stories from Black Wings of Cthulhu. Not the most appropriate of choices when it comes to describing love, but considering some of the other stories I got out pretty damn good :D

Also drawing, wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

That beautiful rush you get when a piece assembles itself before your eyes <3

I don't have a book around. Can somebody give me first line of, say, page 46 for me?

Quote from: Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte
I was still looking at them, and also at intervals examining the teachers- none of whom precisely pleased me; for the stout one was a little groutesque, and Miss Miller, poor thing, looked purple, weather-beaten, and overworked- when, as my eye wandered from face to face, the whole school rose simultaneously, as if moved by a common spring.
Apparently meta-MSH is extremely judgmental. Let's try this again...
Quote from: This Book Is Full Of Spiders, David Wong
You might have sensed something, just as in your everyday life you might sit in a dark house and feel like you're not alone, or have a nagging suspicion that something slipped around a corner just a moment before you looked.
That is either tragic or horrifying. Re-rolling...
Quote from: Persuasion, Jane Austen
This was his only secret exception, when he said to his sister, in answer to her suppositions, "Yes, here I am, Sophia, quite ready to make a foolish match."
Like everything else in this book, I don't understand.
Quote from: Paradise Lost, John Milton
Now lately Heaven and Earth, another world
Hung o'er my realm, linked in a golden chain
To that side Heaven from whence your legions fell!
God damn you, Milton.

In the nearest book, page 45's first sentence is my love life, eh?

Well, the closest in sight was The Order of the Stick: Start of Darkness. Closest, in a bag, was Knots and Surfaces: A Guide to Discovering Mathematics. Closer than that was a Kindle, and first in line was Isaac Asimov's Foundation and Empire, and, while it doesn't have pages proper, I moved to the 45th "page".

We... probably want a Forum Games thread at this point. That said, the next closest book to me that isn't an instruction manual:

Quote
She regains her abilities and advancement potential if she atones for her violations (see the atonement spell description, page 201), as appropriate.

Wait, that is an instruction manual. Dammit!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I have a collection of 3 classics in one book. I'll find page 45 for each...

Quote from: Frankenstein
He began his lecture by a recapitulation of the history of chemistry and the various improvements made by different men of learning pronouncing with fervour [sic] the names of the most distinguished discoverers.

Quote from: Dracula
I drew a great couch out of its place near the corner, so that as I lay, I could look at the lovely view to east and south, and unthinking an uncaring for the dust, composed myself for sleep.

Sadly, the second is more applicable to my situation than the third. I have no idea what's going on in the first. A Nerdic mating ritual?
