Basically, my only criticisms of Bastion amount to it not providing enough excuses to keep playing it longer, which is a really good sign.  I'm trying desperately not to anyway, I have too many other things to do.

Yeah, the first time I played this I had to get a bunch of upgrades to beat the proving grounds, but now it turns out that I'm skilled enough to get most of them in a try or two.  Don't have to work all that hard at the levels, either, compared to how things used to be.  Had a godawful time trying to beat it the first time, and the second was a 10-idols-all-the-time run that I didn't quite finish.

It sort of feels like one of those games I'll end up playing every once in a while just to experience it, kind of like I don't play Assassin's Creed all that often but occasionally surrender to the itch, and am enjoying going through slowwwwly.  Damn good.

After churning through a bunch of characters, in one trip I found Magical Bracers and 110 Platinum Pieces.  Tavern Keeping ahoy!  Even better, the character randomly had my actual name, awesome.
