A buddy of mine is a PhD candidate in Anthropology, and he's doing his dissertation on Gaming Culture, and the relationship between rule and law, storytelling and imagination, and how that fits into modern society. Here's hoping his Kickstarter does well enough to make it happen, as it sounds like it could be pretty neat!

If I've got my math right, you'd be making well over a 100k a year if your average pay check is even half that much. Congrats. Though of course some commission jobs can be a bit feast or famine sometimes...

If it's 2, well that's more than part-time at minimum wage up here.

If it's 4 weeks, that's -under- part-time minimum wage...

It's complicated. You get paid per job, and only get credit for completing those jobs when you send in the signed paperwork. While you can get paid every week, you can also save your paperwork and send it all in at once for a much larger (but less frequent) paycheck. That's kinda what happened with this one; a little over a week's worth of jobs were sent in all at once.

You know my great aunt and I were watching a movie version of "Posessions", and she commented that an article she read had commented that Jane Austen had a very good understanding of game theory.

Though given that game theory is just the study of how people scheme to achieve things, and Jane Austen's books seem to mostly be about social intrigues, this should be hardly surprising.

I should probably read some Jane Austen books some time.
