That game is insane. Its plot is as over the top and fun as the actual game.

Last thing I heard you could slice anything at pretty much any angle in that game, but that was before the name changed. Is it still that way? If so I know what my happy is.

It's pretty much true.  You can actually cause massive slowdown on a PS3 with certain boss fights by chopping objects into literally thousands of pieces.

There's also an absolutely incredible boss who is based largely on the fact that you can't slice him into smaller pieces.  It's kinda freaky to watch.

Yup.  I was a fan of it in its early life, and It was on my recommended list.  Looks . . . fun.

I really liked how it rebalanced the enemies when I last played.  The game got overall harder.

Also, looks like there are custom levels, so A+.

EDIT:  Also, assault rifle replaces pistol= <3

So I got to go home earlier than usual today thanks to a class's cancellation, and I also managed to get free cookies from a book signing.

I haven't really been much into the Doom franchise, sure I played the games a bit but I were more of a Civilization guy back then.
Still am, altough now I play more Minecraft and Terraria than other games.

So my 6 yr old daughter has "Maths Day" in school tomorrow, which entails dressing up as something mathsy. So, I buy her a lil white boiler suit and have covered it with around 500 maths and physics principles/equations. Her class teacher will no doubt assume most of it is made up nonsence, but a little part of me is kinda all gooey about my kid wandering around tomorrow with this stuff all over her... :)

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

The water texture I'm planning to use, applied to an entire (airborne) continent instead of the lakes and rivers it's eventually to be restricted to. I just thought it looked pretty, if strange.

Is the lighting a part of the texture, or is it shaded?
