I would probably enjoy the movie, but I refuse to give it any money.  I'm sick to death of movie/tv show producers shamelessly cashing in on names, because they make it easy to draw the attention of an existing fan base, when they have zero intention of the work they're producing having anything at all to do with what those fans are expecting.  I think it's nothing short of abusive, and it's getting so bad that I'll do everything I can to avoid rewarding it with a single cent.

"Vote with your wallet?"

Too bad, 'cause if it had been named anything else, it would have actually been a better experience (at least to those who enjoyed the book and were all twisted up by this being completely different).

Yeah, I was kinda wondering about that.

Is that you, in the pictures thread?

On the topic of Bastion, I found the gameplay to be the weakest feature. :P
It's really a game you play for the audio design above all else; which is pretty rare for a game and so makes it an absolute must-play. I had more fun with the difficulty turned all the way down simply because it gives it a better audio narrative flow.

"The Kid fought bravely and- oh dear. That can't be right."

"Working himself up, the Kid pushed forward to- damn, I think I've mixed up the pages of the story here."

"Nothing could stand in the Kid's way as he- again? The Kid gets deja vu, thinks on what he's done wrong. He doesn't much like what he finds."

Tomorrow, I will finally use the ingredients I have been collecting to try and cook salmon with korma.

...

If you see stories on the news tomorrow about all of Austin immediately burning to the ground simultaneously, that's probably just my cooking.

One other game I can name.

Nier.

Play it. :I

..It wrenched my heart out and tickled it, and then placed it back in. And I still tear up at the songs.
