Out of those 2200 participants, my team placed 17th. My handle pops up a few times in the Categorical Top 25 too; 6th for Theme, and 22nd for Audio.

I think I did more work on Game Design than Graphics this time, and we came in 57th place for graphics. I mean... I would have been way past happy if that was the highest we scored. I mean... last time, our highest score was in the Top 100. This time, our worst score was still in the Top 80. And with a larger, fiercer competition this time too. This... this is just nuts.

I need to be in a place where I can hug physical people and make very loud happy noises. Because right now I'm so happy that I'm shaking. Almost buzzing.

I'm going to a local comicon with one of my awesome friends.

I'm working on editing a poetry translation.  Fourteen stanzas of a brutally strict, unusual rhythm, with all kinds of secondary structures.  It's for a contest submission in a few months. . . we've been working on this poem for two years now, and he finally got the final stanza right.  That one is completely flawless.

All the others need a little work, with most of them close but not-quite there.  But that one. . . THAT one is flawless.  If we could translate the whole thing to that level, I'm pretty sure we'd be firmly on the map.

One BFE achievement requires you to refrain from sprinting, aiming down sights or manually reloading for an entire campaign runthrough. If you've played any recent shooter, the temptation is very hard to resist.
