Dream brain decided it was going to write (well, direct. Whatever.) me cyberpunk naruto fanfiction today.

Already lost too many details to manage to write it down and remember, but it was pretty glorious. Very thoroughly Pink Mohawk. Someone (the naruto expy, actually) had the, like, trigger handle of a gas pump nozzle as part of their outfit. There was, of course, fire and explosions! Other stuff, too. Was great.
Did your dream have Obama in fighter jet and a transgender* Neonivek? Because if not, my dream was more awesome than yours~

*I (well, dream Me) suspected s/he did that to dodge a ban.

This is amazing and you are amazing.  :D

Go Truean!! Those are really true friends--testing by the fire. Right into the field. ^ ^

Truean, your bravery is awesome.
What? What did she do this time, save a horde of kittens while simultaneously conquering the world when I was asleep?
Left the car and ordered food.

Which sounds completely ridiculous without the context :)
* Tiruin points at above quote and labels it 'context'.

Because that's epic psychological uplifting context there.

[blush] Thank you, it ... it did not feel brave at the time. Terrifying, yes. Brave, no. Much of it, or at least the beginning of it, was my shivering in the passenger seat after slowly realizing what I was in for. Upon further reflection, I now know why they had me ride shotgun, particularly when I did not want to. It would've been nigh impossible to coax me out of the back seat of the car like that. It did help that they were encouraging me and telling me how pretty I was and how nobody would ever guess.

All the same, I was still freaked out and thinking "super run away" the whole time. Except that wouldn't have really solved much of anything either. I do love those girls, but really, really, they could've gone about that a very different and less stressful way. I mean, if they are dead set on having me out of the house like that, they could just do it in a place with no people first and in a place where I don't have to talk, etc.

Honestly I was very scared. The Happy was primarily that I passed without notice.

finally someone gives me context on what Truean did. :D

I find it interesting that with the right conditions, males can pass as females. Anyhow, gogo Truean!

:) Takes a fair deal of work and depends largely upon the person too. Oddly, I have no Adam's Apple and my throat is basically smooth. I'm a lil taller than most girls, but most of the time it still works. Plus, I'm relatively skinny and have slender arms and shoulders that aren't too wide. Also I usually have to work to make my voice sound more masculine anyhow soooo. I've often wondered if I'm somehow intersexed or something. They didn't really talk about or test for that when I was a kid, so who knows?

I'd never call myself lucky for having my condition, (transgenderism/GID) but at least I apparently can pass. I've seen several transgender people who do not do so good of a job with that. I feel terrible for them. If nothing else, it does help when I get to be myself, though it's almost always at home and alone.

Other than that, it's clothing, mannerisms, and casual comfort around other women (with perhaps a slight touch of unease around men conveying that you don't belong with them). I'm not trying to stand out; I'm trying to blend in. The goal is to have people look right past you as just another girl. [shrugs]. Fairly conservative clothes in mild colors with a reserved manner tends to help in my experience.

Bravo, Oz. You explore the deep and resonating bond that links Harry Potter and Edward Cullen together as lovers with more truth and clarity than any other fanfiction before or after it. A true piece of literary genius.

Belated Media revisited the What If The Star Wars Prequels Were Good rewrite project with a pretty brilliant Episode II Rewrite (for the curious, the Episode I rewrite is here). Suddenly there are consistent characters with actual development, an interesting and compelling plot, and all sorts of stuff that would have made me love it. Oh, and now they have storyboard illustrations to visualize the scenes too, which is pretty awesome.

The rewrite of Count Dooku was great, it makes sense to use Darth Maul as the consistent Sith Badguy, Palpatine's plans actually make sense, Yoda stays a philosophical and non-violent leader (as is consistant with his character) instead of dropping his beliefs to become a tiny ninja, we see an actual story where Anakin and Obi-Wan were friends, and so on.

I can't wait to see what they do for III. It's really nice to see someone not just tearing down something bad, but proposing ways to improve it out of appreciation for the bits of good in it.

So, one of my favorite songs, "Little Talks", was apparently written in Simlish for The Sims 3. This makes me so happy you don't even understand.

Oh man, that song is awesome (the original too, its music video is excellent.).

I have discovered the sheer joy of playing through F:NV with a maxed out Luck stat. In addition to the better chance of critical hits, it also guarantees that you can clean out the casinos with only a basic understanding of blackjack. I usually start out with 7 luck, take 'Intense Training' on luck for my first two perks, and quickly make 4000 caps, then go to the Clinic to get the probability processor implant for another +1. Cue 40000+ caps from the casinos. I can get another 100000 from the Sierra Madre Casino in Dead Money, since the payout is in pre-war money.

The AC in my car started working again for some reason. It's a little wimpy still, but the air is actually cold so I'm not complaining.
