Writer is playing an anime RP game on a forum.
He creates a character without fully understanding the rules.
The result is a character with horribad stat distribution and bad powers, named Edgardo.
His best attack a pathetic punch that does virtually nothing. He is limited to using raw spirit energy, which can't be resisted, but is basically worthless anyways. However, he can earmark as much excess spirit energy as he can muster (normally, there's a cap), but even that is normally a slow process.
The mods mock him and won't let him re-roll.
He spawns in town.
Edgardo has a simple, upbeat backstory. Everyone else has a brooding, emo, anti-hero with their own corner to be alone in at the bar.
Everyone mocks him.
Edgardo gets into trouble defending his honor and his life.
Now everybody hates him.
ultimately he is kill-punted out of town by the oh-so-popular and almighty Militant Xer0.
The mods allow him to revive with 1 HP, as per the rules. The forum is in uproar.
He's basically exiled to the wilderness in the middle of another hostile player's territory (Xer0).
He meets up with another guy who rolled a slightly less crap character named A Guy Called Squid (yes, the whole thing), who uses a fiery punch. They team up.
Mods give them an especially hard time, throwing all sorts of nasty creatures at them.
Another, much more powerful player jumps them.
They manage to survive when Edgardo uses all his earmarked spirit energy to knock him on his ass, and AGCS kills him with an all-out fire fist. The forum is in uproar.
They arrive at another village. It turns out it's controlled by Xer0.
Xero mocks them and bars entry using a super barrier.
They start leveling themselves up by fighting eachother. It is a slow process, but safe.
They remain near the village while doing this, so monster's won't attack them.
They level up. Edgardo chooses a buff to his spirit generation. AGCS buffs his fire fists.
There is talk of all the other players hunting them down.
They quickly leave Xer0's territory.
Xero sends one of his lackeys after them, another popular player named Goldnharl.
Goldnharl catches up and tries to kill our heroes.
Goldnharl is fitted with the best armor and unfair, possible rule-breaking powers, but the mod's don't care.
Edgardo and AGCS manage to push him into the nearby canyon, where he dies upon impact with the ground. The forum is in uproar.
Pretty much the entire forum wants them dead now.
Edgardo and AGCS vow to exact their revenge on the forum, and especially that tyrant Xer0.
They decide to high-tail it to the city of Haven, home of the fountain of infinite spirit energy.
They had to cross treacherous mountains to get there, which would be bad enough if they took the road through them.
To keep other players from following them, they decided to go over the terrain.
By now, the mods are mostly ignoring their presence, only occasionally shitting on them.
They meet up with resurrected Goldnharl.
Goldnharl says he wants to help them because he's tired of Xero's bullshit, too, but nobody is strong enough or popular enough with the mods to stand up to him. The forum is furious, and all 3 are marked for death.
Players start catching up, obviously being allowed to break the travel rules.
Goldnharl does a heroic sacrifice to keep them at bay until Edgardo and AGCS can reach haven.
They moment they set foot inside, another player, named Khaine, with more game-breaking powers, stuns them, and plans to kill them (after talking a bunch of trash, of course).
The fountain in the city instantly regenerates spirit levels to their cap. Edgardo has no spirit cap. Raw spirit energy also can't be resisted.
He uses his now unlimited resources to break the stun and punch Khaine into the sun. The forum is in uproar.
They want to exact their ultimate revenge, but the fountain's powers fade within a day, and Xer0 was weeks away.
Edgardo and AGCS notice they leveled again. AGCS buffs his fire fists again (really all he has anyways). Edgardo, noticed a teleportation ability, and snagged it.
Edgardo teleports himself and AGCS to Xero's greatest city (the largest in-universe, actually).
Edgardo destroys the barrier with his limitless, unresistable raw spirit energy (people keep forgetting he can't be resisted).
Edgardo unleashes his infinite wrath upon the city.
The entire forum rage quit and shut down!
