Anyway, I stopped reading 20 years after. I'll be honest I was mostly reading the three musketeers and their sequel because I had some friends once who were nuts about it and I wanted to find out what they were on about, but while the first book was kind of interesting, I think by the time I'd gotten to the sequel it was wearing pretty thin and has been boring me to death.

So I decided to give it a break (possibly permanently), and started reading A Canticle for Leibowitz, and honestly I'm only a few chapters in, but it's nice to be reading something where I actually want to find out what happens next.

I don't know how many rounds of FTL I've played.  Infinity, I guess.

I was reading around and doing some thinking, and suddenly decided, "You know what, this Shivan actually sounds pretty good.  I'm gonna spend a few minutes scumming for a rebel rigger with a defense drone and unlock it.

I unlocked it and beat the game on my very first Shivan run.  That thing is a fucking beast.  The pierce laser and fire bomb can deal with the first few sectors no trouble, and by the time you start finding 2-shield enemies you should have a crew teleporter.  Fire bomb + Rockman Boarders = gg

Fire seems to make the enemy behave very erratically.  When you board normally the enemies will fight to the death if they have to.  Major fires on the other hand, once the crew is almost dead they seem to either run around like headless chickens until passive fire damage kills them, or find a non-burning room and just kind of wait to die.

The QW sidestory had Katia in it. And also was way better than I expected it to be. I don't know what my expectation were, but they were surpassed.

I believe it varies, but it should fall under the Creative Commons license. (This is me pulling the thought from memory) If you're planning to use the dictionary for personal gain or profit..yes.

During a wiki walk I discovered that lawns are being viewed more and more as bad for the environment, thanks to stuff like pesticides, fungicides, small engine pollution (lawnmowers), small gas spills(again lawnmowers), water overuse, and importing non-native grass species.

Whenever I told my parents that I would never have a lawn they just told me it was because I'm lazy and I need to care more about looking good.   Now I can tell them that it's for the environment, and that I don't want one to help save the world that their egotistical ownership of a maintained lawn is helping destroy!

...and so I don't have to mow the damn thing in 100 degree weather every week...

But if you can dig out a big enough hole the meteors have less resistance coming up! It's a sort-of-easy way to create a better viewing experience.
