Times like this I feel like, maybe I can actually steer my life out of this endless slump it's been headed for. I'm getting money put away, I've got some real ideas on what the hell I'm gonna do, I've already kicked one addiction this month, and I've made some progress toward losing some weight.

That's good to hear. Just don't get discouraged if things start to look bad, or if nothing is working out. Just stick with your plans no matter what happens, and you should come out okay and hopefully considerably happier.
