Oh, man. That was amazing, Soli. :o
How do you remember your dreams so well?! I am quite jealous, I have to say. That definitely sounds like novel material right there.

If something interrupts my sleep, when I finally get back to a dream-state it often ends up being really clear, coherent, and movie-like. I can actually read things in these kind of dreams too, most of the time. Problem is, I'm less well rested, since I end up only getting shallow sleep for part of the night.

It's also strange, because when I'm awake, my imagination is always really indistinct and blurry. It's hard for me to mentally visualize things. And I'm not nearly as good at tying plots together, and inventing neat settings and scenarios. Kind of a bummer, really.

Oh, I find this to be true as well. If I set the alarm earlier than I need to, and decide to sleep in some more, I can nearly always remember dreaming during those shorter periods of time.

Waking up at 6.30 for an 8am maths lecture is less of a hassle when Hemmingjay turns out to have gifted you Deus Ex: HR out of the blue overnight.

Playing Avernum 6. Suddenly, Devil Went Down to Georgia shoutout.*

By the demon that had been used as the target for an anvil conjuring spell, and was fighting me, to wit, "to preserve [his] vacation". Thing was so impressed by the style of the wizard who was researching the cartoon anvil death spell he decided to stick around, and I had to run him off. Damnit all, these games are golden.

Have been, somewhat recently. Got spiderweb bundle... little bit ago. Two, three weeks. Played through a good chunk of the geneforge stuff a while back, but I ended up biting into the Avernum 1 remake and have gotten somewhat hooked. Even though the UI of everything done before around Avernum 5 is... somewhat painful. Especially after the junk bag (which is just goddamn glorious and every loot-heavy RPG should have, damn the realism.). I'm kinda' playing my way backwards. Mostly done with Escape from the Pit (I think), currently tearing into 6. Good stuff. Spiderweb produces some solid games.

Did you tell him you were the best there's ever been at any point?
It didn't give me the chance *despairing flailing*

Found out about the Tiberium Wars fanfic.

this line is the one that shall make me read it:
'Yea verily, though I charge through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for I am driving a house-sized mass of "fuck you."'

EDIT: Oh god, there's an Annual Black Hand Taco Fiesta XD
Which one is it?

Okay, this is really great & chilling: http://www.prx.org/pieces/51002-moon-graffiti
15 minute audio theater of sorts, presenting a tale of Apollo 11 crashing on the moon; including the speech 'In the Event of a Moon Disaster' written for then-president Nixon.

Edit: oooh! and prx has episodes of Hearing Voices! :D
Storytelling through audio snippets. It's also got binaural bits; similar to that 'virtual barbershop' thing.

Edit2: Seriously, listen to this: http://www.prx.org/pieces/82858-hv007-the-earth-sings
It's like delicious honey for your ears. So close your eyes and chill to it for an hour. :3

Almost certainly this, which is infinitely better than the official novelization.
