@Frumple: Well...not a lot. I mean, he doesn't get extra powers or anything than what he had. But it's like the difference between having a coach and having an interim coach. Now that he's confirmed rather than being an "acting Director" like we've had for ages now, it's much harder to dislodge him or for lobbies like the NRA to threaten his position. The Bureau as a whole has a bit more clout now too instead of being a red-headed stepchild. Hopefully might turn into mmore budget allocation down the road.
