Unrelated happy/wtf, apparently we're driving through Area 51 according to my trainer. There's an air force base nearby, a bunch of targets out in the desert for bombing runs, and a couple of predator drones on test flights. Pretty cool, but no UFOs yet.

Actually the really bad thing was not how it looked, but that you had to wait 5 minutes per page to load all the annoying background pics with your dial-up connection. On the other hand you could download an entire 3 minute song in just 30-45 minutes...

Awww, I remember these! This was everything! I ran several Geocities pages myself. I believe most of them were about Harvest Moon.

It seems to be missing a few animated "under construction" banners, though. And where's the embedded midi?

My primary school asked our year level to design the school website when we first got one. I went and checked it in around 2002 and it was still the same, horrible red, blue and yellow colour palette. Don't get a bunch of 11 year olds to design a webpage.
