I get to be Assistant Director at a Missoula Children's Theater production. So far, my duties consist of eating caffeinated gummy bears and looming menacingly. I actually asked the Director if I could loom menacingly and she said that would be great. After Wednsday, I will be corralling 6-year-olds and arranging scenery.

In other happiness news, last two weeks ago I was working at Cub Scout camp and I saw this little boy with two prosthetic legs. In addition, he had two hands which on closer examination may have previously belonged to a malformed ogre. (Seriously, they looked like 3-fingered claws.) When I asked him if he needed help, he politely (and more coherently than anyone else his age) told me no, thank you. He then went on to do the activity better than anyone else. It warmed my heart.
Also, I had seen this kid the year before. Last time, he had flame decals on his legs. This time, he had skull-and-crossbones decals. They were cool.

We got those, too. When every single advertizement is based on one of those two formulas, it becomes physically painful to watch. Did I mention they have a tendency to make commercials much louder than the actual shows? TV in general has gotten really bad, but commercials are the worst. Oh, and they also have started playing the same 3-4 commercials over and over again on the same station. It makes me want to break things.
