Tactics Ogre's naming conventions are making me happy. I don't even know if it's intentional, but I don't care. I've got a Bertram and a "Voltare" on my team, and I just finished murdering an Abelard. More games need to do stuff like that, damnit. Even if it's unintentional.

E: New resolve: Should I ever have to make a random name generator/list thingy: Go to the index of philosophy encyclopedia. Start typing out names. World needs more Petrarch on Singer cage matches.

It just made the whole thing 10x better.

Man I wonder why the DF takes slowly took a much more hands off approach to forum zaniness over time? Look at earlier stuff and you see all kinds of funny comments. Then again, forum zaniness detracts from productiveness. Mostly.

Toady also used to edit the posts of spambots often in very amusing ways... True this was started because the original forum software didn't actually allow you to delete threads, but it was still pretty funny to see the results you got.

The giant fly flew into the trash can.

After hours of waiting patiently, the mighty hunter sees his chance. He's been wanting this one all day, but hasn't managed to catch it. The fumes of snacks forgotten have lured it into what will be its residual sugar and popcorn grease grave.

Carefully, with years of training and preparation guiding his hands, the hunter reaches for the bag inside the bin. It'll make a fine makeshift net, so long as the creature isn't startled... NOW!

In an instant, it's all over: The bag's opening is shut on the foul creature, and it struggles mightily against fate within its crinkly plastic tomb. The hunter laughs aloud in glee as he quickly locates the fly within the opaque bag, and crushes it with sickening finality between his fingers.

The den is silent. Sitting back and bathing in the glory of his self importance, the hunter sits back, wondering how he'll gloat about his feat on the Internet.

After hours of torture and uncertainty, he has finally found peace.



TLDR; I trapped an annoying and large fly in a trash bag and killed it.
