Going through conspiracy theory videos on Youtube to remind myself how humanity will eventually fuck itself over with stupidity and paranoia. Someone posted some comment about the moon being a hologram. Here's what someone posted in response.

No offense but that's a really stupid thing to think.

It normally wouldn't be much, but against the background of conspiracy theorists it was like a beacon of burning hot reason.

Callback from job interview yesterday.... Apparently they're going to call me sometime this week to inquire further. So, I guess that's:

a.) not getting complete silence (the norm);
b.) them actually keeping me past nothing.

If I had infinite resources and a TARDIS, I'd put all the conspiracy theorists in the events they said didn't happen.

How about I say that never happened?

Some of those events would get pretty crowded.

Plus you'd find a shitton of terrified Flat Earth theorists in space. That'd confuse NASA.

That is more stupider than the old church theories that the sun revolves around earth.

I remember someone pointed out to me to that huge flat earth theorist forum.
If i joined it would have ended up as trolling, people just can't be convinced even with science.

I was thinking more about the hassle of finding enough space suits for the moon landing hoax crowd, but there's that too.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
