Got to go on an airboat ride through the swamplands and Cyprus forest outside Orlando, then went to see the space center. Even better, while I was there the Atlantis display opened, five days early. That's good, because judging by the size and length of the entry ramp they are expecting many hundreds of visitors upon the official opening.

Atlantis is a very impressive piece of machinery, though one aspect of it has eluded me. The heat-repellant panels on the underside were burnt unevenly. A few were turned completely black in random spots, while most were grey and some appeared unaffected.

I am in absolute shock and relief right now. My Mum shows up at the door laughing her face off, and my sister calls me for help. At first she thought she was drunk, except she didn't smell of alcohol. So I help her to her room with my sister and we find out her drink had been spiked, as it's not often that a glass of shandy makes your eyes glazed, your legs weak and your stomach churning.
An hour of checking if she's ok later, and sure enough - she's fine. Vomited what was in her out with the help of some tea, and waited just to be sure she's fine for another hour as she described all the horrible things she was going to do to whoever spiked her drink. Hopefully she'll remember the name of who did it by tomorrow, but it's enough to know she got home safe. Essentially she was celebrating with her friend, when her friend said she was feeling awful and dizzy. So my mum starts taking her home, and half an hour later starts feeling the same symptoms. Dodged a bullet, but things still could have gotten terribly bad had not some random John [literally named John] from a corner shop in the station recognized her as a local, saw that something was wrong and helped her home, to here.

Hopefully she'll remember the name of who did it by tomorrow, but it's enough to know she got home safe.

Holy shit. That happened to a few people I know too, though they got out of it unharmed as well. Problem is, if it was at a public place, it's near impossible to determine who did it.

One of my friends thinks his drink was spiked a while back. He blacked out despite not having nearly enough alcohol to do so. I think his friends just thought he was really drunk and took care of him like he was.

Sister's Birthday today. Trick candles are awesome, just the best invention ever. We're going "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! Yay! happy birth day!" And then all of a sudden the candles flicker back to life going "Nope".

First day of work.  Transportation == extreme clusterfuck, probably have to go to bed soon because I have to get up at 4 or something.  But hey.  It's done.
