Avoided a potential major home disaster by spotting a leaking gas tank with my hearing when nobody else could've.

...It was leaking for days until we got to confirm it due to nobody else hearing it. :/

Main kitchen gas tank. >_> The air wasn't saturated enough for a spontaneous explosion, and yet it smelled partly like gas. And I'm not an expert on that field enough to ponder on the matter.

Still, yay. Double-edged sword-sense, crisis averted.

Nah, it's my hearing. It's mostly double edged due to its use in my past. Parties. School...many things in the negative. Whispers. Conversations..

The positive? Everytime at night, I can enjoy the peace and quiet of my surroundings, and drift to sleep on the humming of the crickets about 2 stories below in the forested land in my backyard.

...Or if I had a backyard. The whole place is just a downhill forested slope. That's the most positive thing I can get. Other than hearing most things that many can't..

Anyway, yeah. Hearing.

For some reason, while both Biology and CompSci share the same faculty at my uni, Artificial Intelligence belongs to a different one.

This means that if I fuck op this year of Biology, which has I give a 50% chance of happening, I can study AI next year (failing first year = three year ban to the faculty).

Failing is no longer bad~

I'm really glad nobody uses CRT's anymore. Me: "Hey your TV is on, shouldn't you turn it off?" Them: "No it isn't... oh hey, it is, it's just a black screen"
That's when I found out people apparently don't hear the screens... (In space, nobody can hear you screen)

Goes to show how different worlds are. Haven't seen a CRT in over a year, and I'm really glad they're gone. The noise is faint, but annoying once it got my attention.
