However!  It is a collection of Russian poetry translations made by two mathematicians, so let me tell you, it is good.

Also, I am sometimes a dead ringer for the original poet depending on where I am in my hair-cycle, which makes readings sort of hilarious.

^ This so much. From what I know of my experience with literature, if you've poured your heart into something then it is sure to advance your time spent in it by a lot more than you'd expect.

Also, it's translated poetry. That'll be something to watch out for (as well as being a linguist ).

It's weird. They're so thin to draw when you consider the body as a whole. A meatbag of water, muscle and nerves. Truly bare bones. >_<

The final boss rubbed me the wrong way, but Serious Sam just scratches all the right itches when it comes to twitchy, jumpy, colorful shooters. If Doom were chopped up, it'd be the badass part, with Painkiller taking the grimdark.

Speaking of which, I've been getting serious urges to play some Doom again, which also has me thinking again about remaking all the game's assets in 3d.

Back in the olden days of FPS shooters, we never used mice!

Durned kids these days...

I find these old FPS-games easier to play with keyboard only. Besides, it just feels awkward to use mouse when you can't look up/down.

The problem isn't that I can't use the mouse, so much as the game is designed to use the mouse for aiming up and down.

Actually, it isn't. Doom does not actually have up and down. An enemy may look like it's up on a ledge, but you can shoot it anyway by shooting straight forward.
