Finished High School, dropped out of college, know self-taught programming, have job experience, look awesome. I think I get hired on my looks, though.

But seriously, I've been rejected for a job. A few times, even. At least... 5 times or so. I am currently in my 9th "serious" job. Some lasted months, others years.

Even more seriously, IT in my region (Netherlands) is still a good sector to be in. We're hiring foreign people because we can't get locals with the right skillsets.

Sorry I made you feel that way. It was never my intention to make anyone feel bad. It's just that... My main goal in life is to work as little as I can, and spend as much time as possible doing stuff I love. I've (recently) had a shitload of luck in life, I'm aware of that, and sorry if that made anyone feel bad
If it makes you feel any better I've been depressed and suicidal for about 20 years, that should balance it out.

Decided long ago that life is like a sequence of opportunities, and what you make of it depends on the ones you grab. The whole concept of "planning for later" is still completely alien to me, although I've reached an age where I actually should. I have no career, no pension, no "engineered resume", no network, but do have a small savings account for "just in case" scenarios/safety net. Even with this completely passive fatalist mindset I've reached a point where other people look up to me, which is... still unfathomable to me, despite my boisterous arrogant appearance.

In other news, I'm a complete sexist. Poses that seemed "okay-ish" are suddenly super weird with Hawkeye. Comics have ruined me!

I've found this song is about the best thing ever when you want to render irritating music powerless while still being able to hear what someone is saying. It's very useful when you want to selectively censor.
