Ugh. Y'all. Hate that. Despite my living in Texas for all of my life I do not recall ever using y'all in serious conversation, only when I'm using an overdone southern accent for humorous emphasis. Even as a kid I don't think I used it, I just used "you guys" all the time. I honestly don't understand why one would use it. It's hardly much of a timesaver from saying "you all" so that isn't a good enough excuse.

Sorry, that's a peeve of mine.

As for the whole "tennis shoes or sneakers" thing, I just call them shoes.  As a kid I remember referring to the specific type of shoes as "tennis shoes" though. That checks out.

Eh. 'You guys' are rather boring. Though I do say 'you lot' a rather lot. I do also enjoy 'YOU THERE.'
What's wrong with y'all? It has a nice charm to it. Mind you, I wouldn't be caught alive saying it unironically, you have to go full Texas to be able to.

And yeah, I hear y'all (one syllable, usually) often enough. Slip into it occasionally m'self.

I've gotten paranoid concerning y'all. I used to think I didn't say it, but I wasn't really paying attention, and now that I am I realize that I do say it and just can't keep track of whether I said a contraction or a full phrase when I remember things I've said.

On the other hand, now I don't know if I only think that because I was looking for it, and maybe I really didn't use y'all before.

i say "you guys". if the red kept going to canada on that map i would be in the section that says "you guys" so yea.

I switch between "ya'll" and "you guys", and occasionally I speak with a thick southern accent. None of it has any rhyme or reason. My excuse is that I've lived all over the place.

Accent-wise i sound canadian (according to americans) although i cant hear a difference in an northern american accent.

my friends say i have a slight english accent. i blame my grandma for that as she has a really really thick english accent.

I wasn't aware "bubblers" was used outside the local area. But there's a great big ol' green swathe near the great lakes! Interesting.

And I agree with the comments about the "subs" one being misleading. Given the list and the presence of "subway", many people in New England would call them subs... but if you're selling them, and you're NOT subway or selling subway-style sandwiches, you're selling grinders.
