Well a moon is what we call a pretty big satellite, so I guess so?
I don't know, those space boys can be a little arbitrary with their categorizations. Planet, dwarf planet, where do you draw the line?

In any case, the article talked about binary/trinary systems, so it's clear we've got a mini Pluto-and-Charon setup here, not an Earth-and-Moon one, much less a Jupiter-and-its moons setup.

I've found that regular sugar can kill an ant nest.

Just drop a pile near the nest and a couple of days later the ants will be wallowing in hedonism and the nest should dissapear.

I just figured out how to use redstone Comparators. Believe it or not, they can detect how much stuff is in a block inventory and translate that into a redstone signal.

Well, assuming a spherical celestial body of mass m and radius R (include atmosphere for non-degrading orbit) that orbits another body of mass M with a semi-major axis a, it is possible to have a satellite if isn't too massive and if (approximately):

R < R_SOI where R_SOI = a(m/M)^0.4

If that holds, then it's merely a matter of having the right orbital velocity at a given height h where R < h < R_SOI.

At first I skimmed this post and just got the 'poison' part without realising what was being poisoned... I was about to get all upset about such cruelty when I re-read it and realised the victims were ants. Yay! Happy! Happy that ants are being poisoned somewhere!
