. . . My Mass Effect ship seems to have rapidly turned into dysfunction junction.  The most functional people on it are the creepy Cerberus plants and Garrus, because they only have minor self-esteem, withdrawal, and guilt/depression problems.

And, you know, aren't Jack (angry), Grunt (... also violent) and Mordin (... fuckin' manic).

Why do they all have personality disorders ._.  I like to pretend I'm normal, but on the other hand I suddenly understand why my PDA is a trained psychologist.

All that talk brings back memories of playing MEI/II again. Best times ever. For me, Tali was a good friend given that her attitude was much like a mirror of mine: timid!

Though, Garrus' face is now improved [and IMO, not a dent in his appeal], hope I didn't spoil that ;P

Also, once you got to know Jack, she's pretty much a good person.

Too bad my cat's sleep schedule is completely opposite to my own. Sleeps all day, terrorizes insects and birds all night.

Spent the night/morning doing some hard-core computer maintenance and malware combat. Found a rootkit (wee), and a wonderful bundle of malware that my old tools had missed. The new stuff seems to work pretty well, but I have to handle it with care lest I end up nuking system files. On the plus side, my CPU is no longer constantly at 80% with no programs running, my boot time is vastly reduced, and my machine feels healthier and less bogged down. Good stuff.

Feeling better RE: the latest bout of depression too. Little bits of progress make me feel more directed than I was yesterday, and a few steps farther out of the pervasive blahs I've been working through. Also good stuff.

Defragging the HD now, and taking a short nap in place of proper sleep. Been sleeping too much lately anyway.
