Ooh. If he's being sincere, I'm starting to like Francis.

Well, after nearly thinking my kitten somehow got outside the house yesterday I was relieved last night when my kitten suddenly crawled out from under my couch wanting to play. I was really upset, thinking I was going to have an incident similar to the whole washing machine issue I had with my last kitten.
Fortunate, but not ultra-surprising. Cats do have a tendency to disappear and reappear seemingly at random.

I'm reserving judgment for the moment. He seems to be less totally amoral than Benedict, but a few positive statements alone will not undo ~2000 years of oppression. It's also hard to say if he's being genuine, or pragmatically trying to recapture some of the major losses in the younger generations. Either way, come to me when the pedophiles have been purged from the church, he starts telling people they should use contraception, and that homosexuality isn't an abomination, and then we'll talk.

Seriously. My roommate's cat Sophie has this thing where she crams herself into impossibly small, narrow places. Past 5cm gaps, that sort of thing. One of these days, I'm afraid she's going to get herself stuck. :I

YES

Math graduation was great.  It was very clear that they understood they were dealing with people with terrible social skills, so they were extremely explicit and clear about everything that was going to happen, and when.  They basically went: "Okay, I'm going to talk to you real calm, and then you're going to do what I tell you to, and then we're all going to be calm and organized and no one will freak out because it will be so nicely put together.  It will be elegant."  It was actually very soothing.  The entire thing was pretty much perfect.  Clockwork, all the way through.  It ended in an hour and a half to the minute.  The "you are now BAs" or whatever speech was in Latin for the undergrads, and Ancient Greek for the graduates.  There were lots of math jokes.  Lots and lots of them.  It pretty much contained all the best of the math department that I've ever enjoyed.

I'll put up some photos soon.  My hair decs were truly ludicrous.

Yeah!  I just finished my paper and sent it off, but I'm gonna faff today and tomorrow!  And then I have to start getting back to work.

Oh--and I have a job interview <3

New OotS. I'm guessing Lotus-Eater Traps have a Charisma-based save?

Makes sense. Charisma includes social awareness, the trap was broken by realizing the situation is all wrong.

Does Charisma include Genre-savvyness? Because without that (and Elan's dreams being really stupid), they'd have stayed there.
You guys just saw that? It's been out for about 3 days.

Found a copy of the new translation of Crime and Punishment for almost nothing. Well, newer, considering that it was copywrited in the year I was born. Nevertheless, joy!  :D

Picked up a full set of the Deadlands Classic tabletop. I'll need to give it a look over this weekend. Quite a find!  :)

I didn't know this was a thing, but now I do, and it's super badass.

Where did you get it? (I imagine you scrounged it from a local store or something)

My manager is sleeping in his office.  I know this because I can hear him snoring.  Hilarious on multiple levels.  Some darker than others.

Well, I'm back home, finally. Back at my computer and internet after ~a month. That part was ... interesting.

I'm glad to be back though.
