I've got to be missing something. How do you mess up biscuits and gravy? You take gravy, heat it up, pour over biscuits. Where's the problem? Or is this another American thing where you're giving a thing something else's name?

Its easy to make bad gravy, even easier to make bland gravy (I am not a fan of white flour gravy, needs some chicken or beef broth or better yet, chunk)

Why should we tolerate 4chans brand of profanity, by the way? All I've taken away from it is that they're the people who think quoting "it only works on the weak willed" to the disabled would be the best thing ever. I'd appreciate it if you didn't carefully ignore this, either. (Just in case, not acting on precedent).

Which makes more sense, since they're not actually, you know, chips of anything. They're fried slices of potato.

To USAians, biscuits = dumplings, IIRC.

Not really, American biscuits are like scones. Dumplings are dough sheets wrapped around a filling, which you boil or deep-fry. That's not what American buscuits are like at all.
