How to read Discworld:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I find that list to be racist.
But I really need to start reading those books.

Just a quick comment on Wheel of Time:
It's a good series, it just starts to drag on before Sanderson came in
Book 1-3: Almost universally accepted as "Good"
Book 4-6: Okay
Book 7-9: Some are accepted as good, some are not
Book 10: The better review has spoilers, but this one is an acceptable substitute.
Book 11: You know why Obama won the Peace Prize? Because he was so much better than wasn't Bush.
Books 12-14: If the Wheel of Time is an amusement park ride, this is the part where you've been sitting in line for hours, wondering if the ride itself will be worth it. And then it is so incredibly worth it.

Put another way, Book 10 is roughly what you would get if you took a harem comedy full of tsunderes (and a kuudere for spice, as well as Queen Tylin the sex offender), added a large dollop of purple prose, and shook well.

And I suddenly find myself curious.

Don't remember when I stopped reading WoT books, eh. Think I got through the first five or six?

That sounds about right, yeah. Wait, what book am I on...

I need to start Book 10. Dammit.

Jordan designed a really swell fantasy world and the overarching plot itself is complex, if the number of different parties and motives and returning characters is anything to go by, but the writing is so purple it's ultraviolet.

In this moment, I am euphoric. Not because of any phony god's blessing. But because, I just read a really stupid quote and now I can't stop laughing about it.

I've settled down to reread A Beginner's Guide to the End of the Universe. This time I might take it in better. It's a story that I really liked, but didn't understand very well. So I decided to just read through it again.
I almost forgot that you can do this.
Aaaand I finished.
And almost cried.

High enough to make an incomprehensible rage comic, apparently. Don't use and post, folks.  :P

Well, I finally got all the math revision out of the way, and today I got a new game (Victoria 2 with all the trimmings)... Which may or may not have been accidentally billed to my brother's bank account.

EDIT: Also I realised the Victoria 2 pack I got doesn't actually come with the latest DLC, should have realized it was way too cheap for that.

How to read Discworld:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
What a coincidence, I started reading The Colour of Magic last night. This is definitely a series I can read while I search for the one copy of A Memory of Light that managed to wash up on Australian shores. If I'm correct, it is currently in the hands of a Cthulhu cult based in Dubbo.
