There needs to be this sort of thing for a lot of the more complicated book series.

So that Wheel of Time thing, is it really that hugely epic and awesome? I'd like some fantasy books to hold me on while waiting for ASOIAF to come out. Was thinking about Discworld but the local bookstore has only some of the books, and there being well over fifty (?) of the various bits and pieces seems like quite an investment.

Wheel of time is nominally a single, very long, story. Though I skipped a book and didn't really notice untill halfway through the next one, so take that as you will.

This. It doesn't follow the traditional pattern of (largely) self-contained fantasy novels. It's 14 massive volumes of a single story, and yes, some of them have 800+ pages covering less than a week of time. Jordan has some quirks, but they didn't get in the way of me enjoying it, and it'll certainly keep you occupied for a good long while.

The yellow ones, I guess.

Although (as with most series, it seems) I've only read the advanced stuff >_<

Interesting Times, The Last Continent, Lords and Ladies, Small Gods, and Thief of Time.

Good Omens should be on there as a peripheral Death novel, since Death in that one that is essentially the Discworld Death.

Keep in mind that reading using those guides WILL leave you wondering 'where did this guy come from' But it won't detract from the story.

So, school was replaced by some sort of festival today, woo! It's called "Stress Factor" if anyone is wondering. While most of the music was relatively meh, one guy did cover the pokerap briefly. And I made a new friend, woo!

Besides, saying that something that causes you to not have lessons for most of the day sucks would be heresy :P

That prettier one is also updated, as it has Making Money in it. Probably some other ones too.

I've settled down to reread A Beginner's Guide to the End of the Universe. This time I might take it in better. It's a story that I really liked, but didn't understand very well. So I decided to just read through it again.
I almost forgot that you can do this.

Just a quick comment on Wheel of Time:
It's a good series, it just starts to drag on before Sanderson came in
Book 1-3: Almost universally accepted as "Good"
Book 4-6: Okay
Book 7-9: Some are accepted as good, some are not
Book 10: The better review has spoilers, but this one is an acceptable substitute.
Book 11: You know why Obama won the Peace Prize? Because he was so much better than wasn't Bush.
Books 12-14: If the Wheel of Time is an amusement park ride, this is the part where you've been sitting in line for hours, wondering if the ride itself will be worth it. And then it is so incredibly worth it.
