For those in whom Wizards of the Coast's claws are less firmly dug, this is deciding not to take one of the most highly valued cards in the current game, in a type of game where you open a pack, pick a card, then pass it to the next person (and the packs cycle around the table until they're exhausted). Sometimes, you might want to do this if it doesn't fit the deck you're already building and a card in there is a lynchpin - but when it's the first pack of cards you've opened, out of 3, you could just decide to build around it anyway, or even to just ignore it since you have the rest of the picks to work through. Even if you have a stack of them so tall that it's useless for you, you can sell the card right back to the store for the price of two more entire packs of cards (about 8 bucks).

I can only assume I've unwittingly conned somebody out of their fantastic luck who didn't recognize the value, but then, considering my own luck tonight, I'm going to consider it justice >__________>

Went with the young fellow to fete our mutual friend's 21st birthday.  They got a bit drunk, I drank ginger ale, and then we got hot dogs and went to go watch Django Unchained.
