I may be sick, but at least I got a lot of homebrewing done.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

My mom asked me to pick up a book she thought was one she was looking for (a nonfiction story about a family that moves to Africa. She's been raving about it). I went to pick it up and found out the book was actually a crappy romance novel about a lady who is seduced by a man literally raised by wild animals. I am not kidding. So I thought I would just text her and let her know... but then I realized it was April 1st.

The baffled look on her face reading the first chapter alone was priceless.

What do you brew? I'm thinking of doing some hard cider over the summer.

I think I've got my life on track. Granted all I've done is write a few pages for a forum game and brush my teeth, but I think it's a start. Wahey!

I am. No wine today. I really need to clean out the glassware, though, I've had cider I'm never going to drink (I didn't finish drinking it before the fermentation finished) sitting around since November, with naught but a balloon to keep it sealed.

Just finished doing a structural tree of a run-on sentence that was so long I had to mark little 'continued' arrows because it kept wrapping around the page. I probably got a substantial portion of it wrong, my hand is aching, but it's incredibly satisfying to be finished with it.

Finally feeling a bit better, thank heavens.  I think I'm going to devote the next 24 hours to cranking out some personal projects, because I've moved past productive grieving and into serious depression territory, and I've finally gotten a little lift.

Look forward to the results. . . ~!

Sorry for double post
But this is so hilariously offensive and yet so amusing
Warning: Don't click this link if you're Christian/Catholic

I've seen worse and as for "offensive" showing Jesus just up and shooting people down and cutting them in half with swords is "unoffensive" enough to get on primetime television.

Though I somehow suspect it is because "Christians are fair targets" since I admit I have rarely seen other religious deities just up and killing people on tv.
