Fun stuff: I bullshitted my way out of two hours on the job because I had to get to the courthouse.  And get my car inspected.  Both went easily enough I guess and I got home at about 3:30.  And just as I was driving home, Check Engine light came on again.  Ha.

Now I just have to figure out if I can still get a ticket dismissed after pleading guilty.  I swear, the entire idea of entering a plea is retarded.  Of course my inspection sticker was out, what am I supposed to say?  I look like an idiot if I say innocent, and nobody has ever been able to explain to me what the fuck 'No Contest' actually means.

No Contest is functionally the same as Guilty, except you continue to maintain your innocence. More of a pride thing than having any legal weight.

In Scottish courts there is another type of verdict I find interesting, that being Not Proven, which means "the jury believes you are guilty as sin but are unable to prove it".

After two visits, my casino career is finished.

Not because I lost it all, ohohoh no.  This time my brother came along and once again I was the only one to come out positive (740 dollars profit this time, what the fuck) and two problems have come up.  One, lightning has struck twice and while the game I played (it's called Double Triple Diamond Deluxe Supreme if you do casinos and want to try) seems to be a high payoff machine (There's only two of them and I'm betting half the people who make money on it just blow it later.  I set very firm limits and as soon as they're hit I cash out before I have a chance to talk myself into continuing) I know eventually I'm gonna lose.

And two, it is not fun at all to make lots of free money when your family and friends are losing.

In the States they call "We think you're guilty but we don't have the evidence to prove it." just "Guilty", because hey, who needs evidence?
