My map is coming along quite successfully, save a few kinks.

1) The towns all start out at AT LEAST two stars, which is way too friggin' huge. especially for a 100+ year map. I only played until 1860 and I already had four five star metropolises and the entire continent coated in railways. There wasn't a single city unconnected on the mainland.

I think I messed up the timing on that one. I got six in a month, and since the 10% boost lasts for three years my cumulative passenger price made minor trips into the middle of knowhere net me over $100K per load. Travel between the big cities made almost a million per go. Even the computer, at it's stupidest during this game, made such a friggin' killing they swarmed my tracks so thick with trains all traffic came to a screeching, burning halt. All passengers, all the time. Just people people people. It was like running trains on Coruscant.

Not generally the place for this, but it should make you happy (and thus fit the thread) to know that the president and his wife can use their own money to buy their own things, and don't have to use taxpayer money for everything. (Barack has made much of his wealth off of his books and not his current salary, for an example.)
