In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Football is actually pretty safe with proper precautions... Which the NFL has barely started to actually follow. I personally enjoy playing football, baseball a little more but football is also fun.

Further context: was at a national chain sports bar with girlfriend, ate 20 jumbo chicken wings (I am a pig), watched some of the AFC championship 
football game. After the first quarter ends, we go back to her place, and finish watching the game. Big reveal: She watched the other game today without any input from me. I was at work.

I've worked out how to make chai concentrate relatively efficiently. Still takes about an hour, but it produces tea enough for a week so that's acceptable.
